On July 17, 2013 the Summer Reading Club 2013 continued with an “It’s a Pirates Life “ theme. This celebration was especially fun for the kids. They dressed up with pirate hats, eye patches, tattoos and parrots perched on their shoulders. They made their pirate hats and parrots for craft time, played games, posed for pictures and went on a treasure hunt looking for gold in the snake pit. Aye Matey!

CREEPY CRAWLY STORY TIME!

Do you like bugs?  Do you like stories?  Do you like bugs, and stories, and crafts?  If so, join us here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library for a very special creepy-crawly story time presented by the El Paso Zoo ! Like all library story times, this event is free and open to the public!  On Wednesday, October 9 at 2 pm here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library, there will be  BUGS! Join us this  Tuesday ,  November 5th  at  5 pm , as we welcome author and educator Sergio Troncoso at the Sergio Troncoso Branch Library . In 2014, the El Paso City Council voted unanimously to rename the Ysleta Branch Public Library in honor of Sergio Troncoso.  Now you can visit with Mr. Troncoso as he reads from his latest book A Peculiar Kind of Immigrant's Son .
