The Ysleta Branch Library kicked off the Summer Reading Club on June 2, 2012 with entertainment, activities, music and dance. Daisy the Clown, Zumba Dance and the Teenfest were among the festivities on this special day.   Daisy the Clown entertained the kids with games and amusements. There was much laughter and enjoyment. Our patrons were also treated to a class in Zumba Dance with instructor Julie Song. They were all having great fun with this low impact, Latin inspired dance /fitness program. The TeenFest was also simultaneously running outside with information booths, refreshments and a live band. It was a great start to the Summer Reading Club 2012 at the Ysleta Branch Library! RR

Ysleta staff members were treated to a free lunch and a re-useable mug as a reward for submitting the best energy savings plan. By adapting changes in our everyday actions and adjustment to our building and equipment, we were delighted to know that our plan was selected. Ysleta branch manager, Aimee Camp, was presented a certificate as recognition for the plan. The coming months will show the true measurement of our plans effects. Ysleta is pleased to be part of this effort. RR
