Summer Reading Club At Sergio Troncoso Branch Library!

The Summer Reading Club 2015 at Sergio Troncoso Branch Library started on Saturday, June 6 with a kick-off party. There was face painting, balloons, story telling and more..ZZ the Clown was there to entertain. What fun!











Kids also designed their own mask because every superhero needs to keep his identity a secret!


















It's a bird, It's a plane! On June 10th SRC continued, kids learned about flying as they made their own planes.





























Teens also had their own set of  SRC programs. On June 25th they joined henna artist, Yoly Jon , in creating temporary henna tattoos. Very original!














The SRC Wrap -Up party was held on  July 25th and featured The Amazing Adrian and his magic. The audience, young and old, enjoyed the show of illusions and fun. Announcement of the SRC winners was made and prizes were awarded. Thanks to our patrons for another successful Summer Reading Club!

CREEPY CRAWLY STORY TIME!

Do you like bugs?  Do you like stories?  Do you like bugs, and stories, and crafts?  If so, join us here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library for a very special creepy-crawly story time presented by the El Paso Zoo ! Like all library story times, this event is free and open to the public!  On Wednesday, October 9 at 2 pm here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library, there will be  BUGS! We'll read stories about bugs, make bug crafts, and visit with some real live insects!   See you this Wednesday!

Author visit - Sergio Troncoso!

Join us this  Tuesday ,  November 5th  at  5 pm , as we welcome author and educator Sergio Troncoso at the Sergio Troncoso Branch Library . In 2014, the El Paso City Council voted unanimously to rename the Ysleta Branch Public Library in honor of Sergio Troncoso.  Now you can visit with Mr. Troncoso as he reads from his latest book A Peculiar Kind of Immigrant's Son . This event is free and open to the public.
