Chet Gecko Makes an Appearance at YS!

Everyone’s favorite, Chet Gecko Private Eye, paid a visit to the Ysleta Branch Library on June 7, 2012. The kids all enjoyed meeting and getting to know this detective and lizard of mystery. Our young patrons participated in story time, a drawing contest and merriment. Chet used his gumshoe skills to select the winner of the drawing contest. He was pleased with all the drawings of his likeness, but ultimately had to select one. He urges all kids to read the Chet Gecko Mysteries available at the Ysleta Branch.

Author visit - Sergio Troncoso!

Join us this  Tuesday ,  November 5th  at  5 pm , as we welcome author and educator Sergio Troncoso at the Sergio Troncoso Branch Library . In 2014, the El Paso City Council voted unanimously to rename the Ysleta Branch Public Library in honor of Sergio Troncoso.  Now you can visit with Mr. Troncoso as he reads from his latest book A Peculiar Kind of Immigrant's Son . CREEPY CRAWLY STORY TIME!

Do you like bugs?  Do you like stories?  Do you like bugs, and stories, and crafts?  If so, join us here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library for a very special creepy-crawly story time presented by the El Paso Zoo ! Like all library story times, this event is free and open to the public!  On Wednesday, October 9 at 2 pm here at the Sergio Troncoso Public Library, there will be  BUGS!
