YS Celebrates Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

On Saturday March 3, 2012 the Ysleta Branch Library held a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss. Theodore Seuss Geisel, born on March 2, 1904, was an American writer, poet and cartoonist that published 46 children’s books, all of which can be found in our library catalog. Forty-eight attendees, mostly kids, enjoyed storytime, fingerplays, music, dance, green eggs & ham crafts, cookies and lemonade. The Cat In The Hat made an appearance to add to the amusement and laughter.
