The Ready to Read program for Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm will have our young patrons learning about their 5 senses. Plan to attend; it will be fun and interesting!

Ysleta Branch Library will celebrate the 4th of July with a Ready to Read program on Tuesday the 1st. Listen to a story and make a water bottle noise-maker. Join us at 11:00am!

The Sun City Chess Academy presents the Ysleta Open Chess Tournament 2014 on Saturday June 28, 2014. Test your skills with some of best in this area. Competition will be fierce so get your moves polished and ready. This is a USCF rated event so a USCF membership is required. There is no registration on site so a pre-registration is required. Check in time 10:00 am to 10:45 am. First round starts at 11:00 am. Must bring your own chess sets and clocks.

Summer Reading Club continues with a Ready to Read program entitled Density. Come to Ysleta to learn about it and make a cool craft. This program starts Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 3:00 pm.

The Summer Reading Club has a special event for our patrons. On Wednesday, 5:00 pm, June 25, 2014 there will be a workshop on Scrapbooking. Attend and learn how to preserve all your photos and memorabilia in a decorated album of your own design.

The Ysleta Branch Ready to Read Program will continue on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00am. We are going to explore the world of jellyfishes Come and hear a story about this interesting creature. Make a paper jellyfish!

Ysleta Branch Library is having a special event for this year's Summer Reading Club. On Saturday, June 21, 2014, YS patron, Cowboy Jack is bringing his horse to show and share with the SRC festivities. Join us from 2:00-5:00 pm  for a viewing of this fine Palomino. Don't forget to bring your camera!

The Teen Summer Reading Program for June 19, 2014 will be Fun with Fuse Beads. Also known as Perler Beads, teens can make colorful designs and decorative objects. This program starts at 4:30pm.

Explore the world of Science with YS staff member Martha Bocanegra. It is promised a fun and interesting Summer Reading Club program that will have you entertained. Scheduled to start at 3:00pm on June 18, 2014. Don't miss this one!

On June 17, 2014 the Ready to Read program will feature horses. Come to Ysleta to hear a story and construct a paper horse craft. The fun starts at 11:00am!

Ysleta Branch Library is now offering free General Educational Development (GED) Classes to our patrons. These classes are created to prepare students for the GED test and will be held every Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
