In 2012 the El Paso voters approved the 2012 Quality of Life Program. Part of that program will include a new parking lot for the Ysleta Branch Library. This much needed parking lot will be located adjacent to YS and will bring higher level of convenience to our patrons. Groundbreaking to be announced. Thanks El Paso voters!

Ready To Read continues on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 11:00am. The title of the book is called Cinco de Mayo, Celebrate the Tradition. Craft time will follow. Celebrate with us!

Tuesday, April 29, 2014, the Ready To Read program will celebrate Cinco De Mayo. Hear the story, Max Celebrates Cinco De Mayo and for craft time create a paper cup pinata. The fun starts at 11:00am and 3:00pm !

What kind of animals can you find on a farm? You can find out at the Ready To Read program on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00am. Join us here at Ysleta!  

Earth Day will be the subject of our Ready To Read program on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Kids, you can learn what happens to our undesired waste material. For craft time make a pine cone feeder. Two sessions starting at 11:00 am and at 3:00 pm.

The Friendly Owl Bookstore located in the Ysleta Branch Library is pleased to announce the half price book sale happening every Wednesday, 1pm to 7pm. Come out, browse our large selection and get all of your favorite books, magazines and videos at bargain prices. Such a deal!

April is Poetry Month and Ysleta is celebrating with a poetry reading and an ice cream social. This special event will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Join us!

Teens join us for an interesting and fun poetry exercise/game known as Exquisite Corpse. It is an old game in which people write a phrase on a sheet of paper, fold it over to conceal part of it and pass it on to the next player to do the same.Once finished it is read aloud. This Teen Hangout session will begin at 4:30 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

Make plans on being here at Ysleta on Wednesday; April 16, 2014; 5:30 pm and observe Earth Day with us! Create crafts with recycled bags and paper. Learn what we can do to take care of our home.

The Ready to Read Program on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 you can listen to stories about bunny rabbits. The hare tales start at 11:00 am here at the Ysleta Branch Library.

Ysleta Branch Library has a special Ready To Read Easter celebration. The storytime begins on April 15, 2014 at 11:00 am and again at 3:00 pm. Craft time will follow; make an eggshell chick!

 On Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 4:30 pm, Teen Hangout at Ysleta presents Sidewwalk Chalk Poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month. Teens show us your imagination and talent using chalk as a medium. Illustrate your poem or passage from your favorite poem. It is promised to be a good time!
